Answers to Your Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, honest, and medically grounded information to help you make the best decision for your hair health.

Q.Do I have to shave my entire head for the transplant?

Not necessarily. For extensive areas we recommend an even shave for optimal hygiene and precision, but for medium or smaller areas we offer NS-FUE or partial shaving techniques that keep the procedure virtually unnoticeable.

Q.How many procedures can a person undergo?

At Bold, we aim to achieve your desired outcome in a single session. However, if hair loss progresses or you desire ultra density, a well-managed donor area can safely yield 2 to 4 procedures over a lifetime.

Q.Which areas can be restored using the FUE technique?

Hairline and temples, crown, eyebrows, full beard, mustache, and camouflage of surgical or traumatic scars.

Q.How long does the procedure take in the operating room?

The procedure typically takes 4 to 6 hours. You will be awake throughout the session in a relaxed setting with scheduled breaks.

Q.Can transplanted hair fall out again?

Follicles harvested from the donor zone lack receptors for dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for male pattern baldness. Consequently, they will continue growing permanently for the rest of your life.
